Thursday, October 8 | “Hate Speech”, Social Media and Minorities
Host: Balazs Vizi, National University of Public Service
Description: This will be the first day of the Global Minority Rights Summer School. The first 10 minutes will be devoted to words of welcome and introductions. The topic of “hate speech”, social media and minorities will be introduced by Sejal Parmar. The two Special Rapporteurs will then have time to speak about their mandates and work in relation to hate speech. This will be followed by a 60-minute moderated discussion. During the discussion, participants will be able to submit their questions, which will then be addressed during the final 30 minutes of the session. |
